Sugar is in everything these days. And for the most part, no one realizes it and the harm it does. When a product says, "low fat" it will, yes, have less fat, but because the fat levels are decreasing, the sugar levels increase. Let's face it, fat is flavor. So when companies take out the "flavor", they then have to use something else to restore the flavor, and that where sugar comes in. When sugar is consumed, the body uses some for energy, but the majority of the sugar is turned into fat. When the body turns the sugar into fat it is using energy, resulting in a sugar rush and then tiredness. Sugars used in most processed foods are highly processed sugars. The body does not recognize the processed sugar because it is not natural and so the body then can not digest it. When the digestion system struggles to digest and rid of harmful inputs, it instead stores it as fat because there is no other place the body can put it.
